***********************On a Personal Note***************************

I have an innate need to create. And I enjoy sharing my creations.  Visualization and conceptualizing images and emotions are my main goals in completing a piece of art. I bring to life ideas and feelings that are present in my heart and soul.  I want my pieces to be visually appealing not only to your eyes but perhaps to stir a little of your soul. If my work makes you want to reach out touch it and feel what is going on then I have fulfilled my purpose.

I always find myself surrounded by art. I started my formal art studies in the 70’s on the east coast with Don J. Fortunato affiliated with Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. During the 80’s I moved to the Southwest and studied photography with Louis Bernal and worked in the Louis Bernal Gallery, in Tucson, Arizona. I also studied painting and drawing with George Welch, who is originally from Harlem, New York and teaches in Tucson, Arizona. In the 90’s I became a mother and created two of my best pieces of work. These two pieces have matured now and I am once again allowed to practice my calling.

I have been fortunate enough to reenter the art field and have won awards for both my art and my writing and I continue to learn more about art and new techniques each day.

Some of my work includes heated fibers, oil sticks, chalk pastels, crushed pigments, acrylic paints, resins, photography and digital art.

I have enjoyed revisiting the soul of my past and introducing it to my current energy.

I partner these two souls to dance to a Requiem in Repose.
